The Just

Chicago-Area Rock Band Blending Grunge, Indie, Alternative & Progressive Rock

Authentic originals with high-energy live performances and emotionally charged songwriting

The Just is a Chicago-area original rock band from Schaumburg, Illinois, fusing the raw edge of 90s grunge with indie rock, alternative, and progressive rock influences. Formed in 2018 and launching their live career in 2025, the band is known for honest, emotionally resonant songwriting and dynamic performances that consistently earn strong crowd responses.

The band was founded by Bob Biedron (vocals & rhythm guitar), Matthew Duckworth (bass), and Joe Verble (drums). Lead guitarist Charlie Salto joined in late 2024, completing the powerful four-piece lineup. With deep roots in the South Suburbs — where Bob Biedron and Joe Verble grew up and played in bands together, laying the foundation for The Just — and members now spread across the Northwest, Far Northwest, and Southwest suburbs, the band represents a wide swath of the Chicago area while operating out of Schaumburg.
